Help / Groups Management

What is groups? Is it groups of users or contacts?

It is for you to decide. Groups is method of permissions management. You can decide it to be groups of users (departments, project groups) or groups of contacts (fields of work, projects, vendors) or combine both. We specially did not limit it to be some concrete group to give you more flexibility.

When you create user, you can assign groups for him. He will be able to view contacts of that group and create contacts in that groups.

When you create contact you can set permission for each group. It can be "no access", "read only" or "read-write". If you set "no access" - it is easy, users with that group will not see that contact. If you set "read only" - users of that groups will be able to see this contact. If you set "read-write" - users of this group will be able to make changes in the contact card.

Please note, that disregarding of groups permission only you or subscription owner can delete contact or change permissions.

Who can delete contact from the system?
Only you or ubscription owner.
What happens to contact if I delete group?
Nothing. Just permissions settings for the group will be removed from contact. All contacts that were assigned to the group will stay in the system.
Is there any limitation on number of groups?
No. You can create any number of groups. But we just recommend to save this number reasonable for comfortable work. If you create to many groups you will just mess up over them.
